We do Ambulatory Facilities. Medical, Surgical, Diagnostic

GHT- Prototype entry level surgical facility

Our 8,000 SF prototype facility has 2 O.R.'s, 2HBO chambers, and exceeds comparable size hospital capabilities at 1/10th the cost. Facilities in impoverished areas must be robust and multidimensional.

All GHT models are scalable and flexible to accomodate a myriad of complementary uses. Needs and priorities of the communities they serve will ultimately drive decisons regarding which capabilities have greatest priority and therefor are best to include.

Acute and Chronic Wounds

Wound Statistics

Wounds are a big problem for poor communities. No one knows the worldwide prevalence of burns, acute, traumatic or chronic wounds because a patient has to be seen and  treated by a healthcare professional in order to be counted! Hence, there are no reliable  statistics. Best estimate is 7-10% of population.

Mission Purpose

Acute and Chronic Wounds

Wound Statistics

Provision of sustainable specialized facilities, supply chain and improved access according to population need and stated priority  so that  disadvantaged persons, especially those in low- and middle-income countries can be seen, treated, and also counted.

Acute and Chronic Wounds

Acute and Chronic Wounds

At least 7% of the world population (560 million people) has a significant acute or chronic open wound or burn that should be urgently seen and cared for by a healthcare professional. This does not include post surgical wounds, infections, cancer, diabetes or other complex medical problems

Underserved Populations

Competent, fully equipped Facility

Acute and Chronic Wounds

Underserved Populations do not have access to healthcare facilities due to geography, financial instability or both. Universal Healthcare is absent most places. Consequently, manageable healthcare needs quickly become advanced limb or life-threatening issues that invariable shorten lives, limbs are amputated and untimely deaths occur.  Wounds are urgent problems.

Competent, fully equipped Facility

In resource poor regions, the best solution (whenever possible)  is provision of multiple comprehensive ambulatory treatment centers - medical, diagnostic or surgical- at 1/10th the cost of a comparably sized hospital. Facilities which are Turn key, fully equipped with supply chain, training and operational oversight. Facilities scalable in size and number according to community need and priority.

Once needs analysis and priorities are identified, we will brainstorm with International and local Governments, stakeholders and funding sources in order to designate our best path forward.  A variety of facility construction concepts will be discussed each  capable of ‘rapidly and effectively’ filling the gap between ‘no care’ and ‘best care’ for patients with a variety of medical,  surgical and diagnostic challenges. A futuristic, innovative,

competent, and comprehensive facility concept will be developed

We  suggest facility designs which  comprehensively address the needs of their healthcare  focus & environment (surgical, diagnostic, medical).  They have to be robust stand alone, efficient and highly capable hybrids with features not generally found in single purpose centers. Outpatient facilities which meet high priority needs equaling care available in hospitals departments & superseding care available at traditional competing venues such as Urgent care, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, and Outpatient Wound Care Centers.

Wounded Bird in consultation with local stakeholders evaluates need, cost, priority, and sustainability. We design and execute an agreed upon action plan, facility type, and identify financial and human resources.   GHT, if selected produces the specified fully equipped facility, secure supply chain, personnel training and operational oversight.

"Healthcare inequality  affects all aspects of life worldwide. Commerce, tourism, education, physical capacity, and willingness to live in harmony with one another.  Everyone deserves to have access to good healthcare in their birthplace, administered primarily by their people.  For those of us in the forefront of good healthcare, it is our duty to see that good Healthcare is available to all. For, like justice, healthcare too long delayed, becomes healthcare denied- and  will surely lead to  bitterness  and chaos."
